"Everything You Ever Wanted" by Jillian Lauren Book Review & Giveaway

unnamed     I had the opportunity to read “Everything You Ever Wanted” by Jillian Lauren and was asked to write a review. After reading just the first few pages, I was devoted to this book. Jillian Lauren pens her journey from rehab to recovery. Sketching each line finely, we grasp on word by word as she triumphs through. “Everything You Ever Wanted” begins with Jillian’s dark past, she wrestles with her drug addiction; however she continues to plant one foot in front of the other – step by step getting rid of baggage all to find happiness. Jillian’s strong determined soul anchors her to get a handle on something in order to have everything. We meet up with Jillian on the road to recovery, finding her way to Cosmetology school and into the arms of her rock musician and life partner Scott.             Riding the roller-coaster of love, Jillian and Scott’s emotions morphed into reality when they realize the struggles and life style that comes with infertility. After embracing her infertility, coasting through each mountain of heartache with numerous fertility treatments, Jillian entertains adoption. Scott concurs. Jillian and Scott encounters parenting when adopting Tariku, their handsome Ethiopian baby boy. While Tariku fulfills Jillian’s hopes and dreams of becoming a mother, seems as if the forces of habit settles in….a new mountain to climb. Tariku has challenging obstacles. He learns differently, but that did not halt Jillian’s love for being a mother and the love she has for Tariku.   unnamed (1) This perfectly painted memoir is the next book for your book club and a must have for your bookshelf. I enjoyed this read from the first chapter. Jillian’s brave heart, her love for life and motherhood carried her through the storm page by page. Any mother who has experienced difficulties in life and have read this memoir will appreciate a second shot when given the opportunity.   unnamed (2)
